RV Park Near Albertville, AL

Albertville is just a short drive from Guntersville on top of Sand Mountain, and there’s a good amount to do here if you’re visiting for the day. From an award-winning winery to outlet shopping and a sprawling outdoor park, here are three of our favorite stops.

Things to do while in Albertville

Jules J. Berta Vineyards & Winery

Jules J. Berta Vineyards is Alabama’s first producer of vitis vinifera wine grapes, sitting at an elevation of over 1,100 feet — the highest vineyard in the state. It’s been consistently named Alabama Winery of the Year and took home the 2025 North Alabama Attraction of the Year from the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association, landing it as the first stop on the Alabama Wine Trail. The tasting room pours estate-grown Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Petit Syrah alongside sweet muscadine and fruit wines, and the wood-fired pizza is worth the trip on its own. Grab a charcuterie board, find a spot outside near the fire pit, and settle in.

Albertville Home Bakery & Coffee Shop

Albertville Home Bakery & Coffee Shop has been a fixture in this community since 1949, turning out custom cakes, pastries, donuts, cookies, and sausage balls from time-honored recipes that haven’t changed much over the decades. The full-service coffee shop side of things covers lattes, iced coffees, frappes, and floats, making it a solid morning stop before a day of exploring or a good afternoon reset when you need one.

Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater

Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater covers over 130 acres in Albertville and offers softball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, a fitness center, playgrounds, and a multi-sports field — about as complete an outdoor facility as you’ll find in a town this size. The amphitheater hosts live music and events throughout the year, so it’s worth checking the schedule before you head over. If you’re traveling with kids or just want a good place to get outside and shake the road dust off, this is a great place to stop.

After a day up on Sand Mountain, the drive back down to Guntersville is a pretty one, and Knot Working Tiny Town will be right there when you pull back in. Fire up the grill, settle into your RV site or tiny home, and call it a good day. If you haven’t booked your stay yet, we’d love to have you.
