July 15, 2025

Planning a getaway to Knot Working Tiny Town? We’re excited to welcome you to one of our cozy, luxury tiny homes in the heart of Lake Guntersville. Whether you're staying for a weekend or a full week, packing smart will make your stay even more enjoyable. Our tiny house cabins come fully equipped with a variety of amenities, but here’s a helpful guide to ensure you bring everything you need — and nothing you don’t.

The Essentials (Don’t Worry, We’ve Got the Basics!)

Our vacation rentals in Guntersville, AL are stocked with many of the essentials, so you won’t need to overpack. Every cabin includes:

  • Fresh linens & towels

  • Hair dryer

  • Extra pillows & blankets

  • Iron & hangers

  • Bathroom essentials (soap, shampoo, toilet paper)

You’ll still want to pack your personal toiletries, medications, and any preferred skincare or hygiene items.

Kitchen Staples and Groceries

Each of our luxury tiny homes features a fully-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, microwave, blender, and even wine glasses and baking sheets. If you’re planning to cook:

  • Bring your favorite groceries or snacks

  • Pack special spices, oils, or condiments you love

  • Don't forget your favorite coffee or tea (though we supply a starter set!)

Local grocery stores are nearby if you want to stock up after you arrive.

Clothing for the Weather & the Lake

Guntersville weather can vary, especially near the lake. To stay comfortable:

  • Pack layers (especially in spring and fall)

  • Bring a swimsuit and flip-flops for lake days

  • Don’t forget hiking shoes or comfy sneakers for exploring

  • A light jacket or sweatshirt is handy for evenings by the fire pit

Our tiny house cabins include AC and heating, but you'll want to be ready for whatever the outdoors throws your way.

Pet Gear (If You’re Bringing a Furry Friend!)

Some of our cabins are pet-friendly, so if you're bringing a four-legged companion, be sure to pack:

  • Pet bed or blanket

  • Food & water bowls

  • Leash, poop bags, and any meds

  • Favorite toys to help them feel at home

Be sure to ask about pet-friendly availability when booking your stay.

Outdoor Fun & Relaxation Must-Haves

With outdoor fire pits, charcoal grills, and beautiful decks, you’ll want to make the most of the outdoor amenities:

  • S’mores ingredients

  • Charcoal and lighter fluid for grilling

  • Bug spray and sunscreen

  • Camping chairs or picnic blankets (optional — we’ve got outdoor furniture, too!)

If you’re planning to explore Lake Guntersville State Park, pack a day bag with water bottles, snacks, and your camera!
